2. Make sure your property is worthy of being on the Internet. More homes are being advertised on the Internet now than ever before, simply because it’s easier and quicker. But before you put your home on the Internet, make sure you have made all (or most) of the updates to your home.
3. Wash the exterior. This doesn’t necessarily mean renting a power washer. This could be as simple as hosing down debris that’s on the side of your house, cleaning the gutters as well as cleaning the windows.
4. Repainting. Does your home need a facelift as far as color goes? Consider your color options.
5. Interior Smell. Do you smoke or have animals? If the interior of your house is not clean (or does not smell clean), it will be noticeable immediately. The last thing potential buyers want to smell is your cat or dog as soon as they walk through the door. If you have carpeting, consider having it replaced or cleaned. If you have hardwood floors, consider having them re-sanded or cleaned as well.
